International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) together with Universiti Sains Malaysia, JSPS CREPSUM, National Museum of Nature and Science (NMNS), and JSPS Alumni Association Malaysia (JAAM) has co-organized a workshop entitled “Application of Advanced Genomic Tools for Conservation of Marine Biodiversity” held at Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies (CEMACS), Penang, Malaysia. The workshop runs for four days from 6th June to 10th June 2022 . A total of eight resource person were involved in lectures and hands-on laboratory work in the fields of genomic and proteomic. A total of 22 participants from 6 different countries participated with course fees sponsored by ICGEB. The workshop discussed the use of genomic and proteomic techniques in analyzing various stresses of climate change to marine animals especially in the intertidal area.
